Australian Airline Pilot Academy
The Australian Airline Pilot Academy (AAPA) is situated in Wagga Wagga New South Wales and is wholly owned and operated by a major airline, specifically Regional Express (Rex), the largest independent regional airline in Australia. With over thirty years of airline operation, the Group, and specifically AAPA, know exactly what it takes to train the best commercial and airline pilots.
At AAPA’s purpose built state-of-the-art and integrated campus, students not only learn to fly in modern flight simulators and training aircraft equipped with glass cockpits, but are immersed in a total aviation and airline environment from day one with curriculums specifically designed to meet the professional and high standards demanded by airline operators. Since 2007, AAPA has trained over 250 cadet pilots for its parent company’s highly successful Rex Cadet Pilot Program as well as many cadets for Vietnamese and Middle East carriers and holds GCAA and CAAV approvals.
AAPA is a Registered Training Organisation and is approved as a provider on CRICOS to conduct pilot training to overseas students.
AAPA is set to become the premier pilot academy in the Asia Pacific region with a capacity for more than 200 pilots a year for both Australian and international airlines.
